Mayo Male Voice Choir

Welcome to the Mayo Male Voice Choir website.

The purpose of this website is to provide an outline and photos of the history of the choir, photos and video from trips to Luton and Hoechstadt and outline of plans for the immediate and longer term future.

Since the choir was established in 2000 it has grown from strength to strength and now has a total of 48 men who travel from all parts of Mayo to rehearse and perform together. The choir has been under the direction of the very accomplished and talented Ms. Deirdre Lee since it's inception. Deirdre is a music teacher at St. Joseph's Secondary School so her expertise and experience are invaluable to the choir.

We hope that you enjoy finding out about our choir, looking at the many photos taken in Ireland, Luton and Hoechstadt, viewing the videos of our travels and listening and viewing some of the songs sung at our most recent concerts.

AGM of Mayo Male Voice Choir will be held in TF Royal Hotel on Monday June 14th at 8 pm.

Motions must be submitted to Joe Nestor, Secretary, Ballyglass, Claremorris by June 7th.

Many thanks to all who supported us on our night of nights in the Royal Theatre - it was an overwhelming success and a night we will never forget. Thanks to each and every one who came along on the night - the attendance was amazing. We hope you enjoyed the night as much as we enjoyed performing for you and that we see you again next year d.v.

Also, thanks to all who attended our performances with the Carlton Male Voice Choir from Nottingham in the Holy Rosary Church and Keelogues Church. A special thanks to all who organised the concert in Keelogues and put on such a marvellous buffet in Ballyvary Central School afterwards.
